How You Can Help
Impact Our Government!
Help fellow progressives make a difference
There are many ways to get involved.
VOTE
Write Letters and
Postcards - Make Phone calls
During the legislative session, FBCAN produces a Call To Action newsletter with suggestions for legislation we need to support or object to.
We ask our members to make phone calls to legislators in our area and around the nation. If you need a script, we can give you pointers.
We also ask members to write letters and postcards stating the reasons for your support or objection.
And most impactful, we recommend making the effort to visit with legislators in person. We can help you find addresses in Fort Bend, Austin or even in Washington, D.C.

OUR
ISSUES
With membership input, our major issues include but are not limited to:
Women's Rights Affordable/Accessible Health Care Public Education
Immigration
Equal Rights for All
Social Justice Reform
Racial Injustice
We host meetings once each month. Dates and locations change based upon our program and the availability or our speakers. We bring in speakers to address topics of major interest.
Committee reports and updates are given.
Because we have members from all over Fort Bend, we try to have "mini" socials on a regular basis; rotating around the county. We write letters and postcards, discuss issues and seek solutions. Sometimes we simply need to spend time socializing with like-minded individuals.
Occasionally, we will host special events.
